For no reason, a ranking and traffic drop is showing in Google Search Console from one of the Bangladeshi e-commerce websites I manage.
From my analysis, I figured out this has nothing to do from our side but external factors like there was an internet blackout for the whole country between those dates so visitors were not there searching on Google as a result Google dropped ranking, but it is ok now.
So maybe one of the ranking factors could be “if visitors don’t search keywords based on your site and as a result, the site doesn’t show up on search results, overall ranking will go down”
